About Us

KLG Architecture, PLLC is a new, client orientated, energetic firm that strives to incorporate energy efficient, sustainable details, materials and design practices in all their projects.

By taking advantage of building location and solar orientation where possible and focusing on a tight, well insulated building envelope, we are able to minimize the energy needs of the building for our clients. This, not only keeps operating costs down but also provides a much more comfortable, healthy building to occupy. Existing structures are no exception. They are often more challenging to seal and insulate properly, but enable the client to remain in a desired location and save the embodied energy the existing building represents.

Once a well sealed, insulated structure is achieved, sustainable mechanical options, not feasible in standard construction practices, become more practical. With this approach, HVAC systems are ‘right sized’ for the building, drastically reducing the initial equipment costs.

Sustainable practices such as small wind, solar voltaic, solar hot water, solar hot water/ radiant, geothermal and biomass heat plants can provide the bulk of the energy required to service most carefully detailed and insulated buildings. Clients will be encouraged to explore these options.

KLG Architecture is about designing buildings responsibly and creating lasting relationships with clients, not just designing buildings. It is the desire to work with her clients from the earliest concept, through the design and construction phases that prompted the owner of KLG Architecture to open her own firm.

This company brings over 12 years of Architectural experience to the table, with projects created while working in other offices that range from New Homes and Residential Additions to Commercial, Civic , Educational and Religious Projects. We have a Registered Architect that is LEED certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), an AIA Member, NCARB certified ( National Council of Architectural Registration Boards), and a member of the ICC (International Code Council).

We look forward to the opportunity to discuss your dreams and see where it leads….
